I drew it in a tricky way: I inverted the colors of the reference picture, and drew the negative version. Then I scanned my image and inverted back again. This way I had to work on the dark background less, and it was much easier to draw the fluffy white hair :)

EDIT: I decided to withdraw my submission from the :icondraw-along: on this drawing, coz altough it was fun to draw this way, it's against the group rules, which clearly prohibit digital alterations. My bad, I didn't think before I started to play with my drawing:D The girls were liberal and accapted it, but I really don't want to create a precedent and encourage others to break the rules :)
