) But I have to tell you quality in fact makes a difference, these pencils are sooo great to work with, they blend so nice, they're great for any technique, (as you can probably see on some parts I burnished with white or light blue pencils, on some parts I did not) and I found that 12 colours were sufficient for anything I wanted to do.

I have a 12 pcs Prismacolor set, so the palette was a bit limited. I used mainly the Sienna Brown, Dark Brown and Orange pencils with a touch of Canary Yellow, Crimson Red and Violet for the skin
I didn't have much trouble whit them breaking much, only one broke, but that was only because my cat who likes playing with my pencils and threw it off of the desk, evil creature!
Oh no! I always panic when a pencil falls! (even when it's not mine lol) I'm glad they didn't give you too much trouble.
