:iconcommissionsopen::icontradesclosed2::iconnorequests:

How does it work :?

  • Send me a note here on dA, or an e-mail: eajna.mail@gmail.com
  • and please provide me with the following informations so that I can give you an estimate of the price (may change if modifications are requested later) :

:bulletorange: the size of the commissioned piece

:bulletorange: the preferred media (colored pencils/graphite)

:bulletorange: the theme of the commissioned piece (I like to know who am I drawing, and what they relation to my customer is – it may sound odd, but I feel like I can make it more personal and „living” if I have a bit of a background story :) (don’t be afraid - as little info as „they are my beloved grandparents” is enough for me!)
:bulletorange: possible deadline I have to meet with the finished piece (please note, that depending on how many commission I have and how complex your commission is, your request may take 2 to 6 week to complete from the moment I started working on it (NOT from the time of your inquiry))
:bulletorange: REFERENCE PHOTO (good quality, high resolution) – of course if you're just inquiring about my availability and/or possible rates, not necessary in the first email, but I can't say for absolutely sure, if I'm able/willing to do it, unless I see the picture, and also the price could depend of its usability - I may refuse to draw from a picture in which the basic features of the faces are barely recognizable. IMPORTANT: I don't hold responsibility for the pictures you provide, unless it's clearly a celebrity's photo, I'll automatically assume the picture is yours or you have the rights and permission from the photographers and/or models to have the photo drawn/referenced by me.

                    :bulletorange: the preferred layout (horizontal/vertical)

:bulletorange: other additional requests (SLIGHT changes on the clothes, hair; is the background or parts of it needed?)

:bulletorange: can I submit the finished piece to my gallery and can I disclose the identity of my commissioner (usually just with their username, in case the commissioner is a deviantART user)

Payment and commission process

:bulletblue: I accept payments through PayPal (my address: esti.ajna@gmail.com) and the commission widgets on my front page.

:bulletgreen: in USD ($) (or points on dA, but only through the widget!)

:bulletred: Don’t send me payment until I accept your commission!

:bulletyellow: The process:

  • when I accept your commission, I tell you when I can start working on it and how much it will cost you (you can see my prices above)
  • and when I’m done with the initial sketch, I show you the scanned image
  • at that time you can still suggest changes or cancel the commission (no charges)
  • if you’re satisfied with how it’s coming along, you  have to send me half of the price as deposit (full price in case of ACEO’s and A5 sized drawings)
  • after this if you cancel the commission later, you can’t have this money back (sorry but my time and energy cost money too)
  • if for any reason I’m not able to complete your commission, I send you back the full amount of money.
  • if the piece is finished , I show it to you, and ask for the other half of the payment and your postal address where I can send you the finished piece. As soon as I get the full payment, I also send you a high-resolution scan of the finished piece.

Shipment

  • The packaging and shipment costs are already inculded in the prices above.
  • I ship my drawings in a closed, sturdy cardboard tube, ACEOs in hardened card holders.
  • I send you the shipment as simple international priority mail without tracking number and it can take 2 to 7 weeks to have it at your address.

Terms and conditions:

IMPORTANT ! PLEASE READ!

All my commissioned pieces are for personal use only. You cannot claim them as your works, you cannot sell copies of them and use them for advertisements, book covers etc. (unless you commissioned me for that particular purpose – but in this case the prices are to be discussed)

I reserve the right to sell copies of my commissioned pieces (of course just in case they aren’t personal portraits)

I reserve the right to reject a commission.

If I cannot complete your commission, I send the total amount of paid money back to you.

You can cancel the commission at any time, but if you already paid the deposit, you can’t have that back.

You can only suggest changes before I finish the piece, but if it’s after you approved the initial sketch, I may refuse to implement those changes if I find them impossible to make.

Please note that I’m just a human being, I cannot see inside your head, and my capabilities are also limited. So be specific with your requests and please accept it if I tell you that I cannot draw you something the way you imagined it. Also be patient please!

I always try to do my best and meet all your expectations with the finished piece, but if for any reason you’re not satisfied with the outcome, we’ll discuss it. If I think I did my best and it’s not my fault that you don’t like it, you don’t have to pay the full money, but I won’t give your deposit back. If I think you’re right, and I did something wrong, I either pay all your money back or draw it again (or try to correct it)  – as you choose.

Please note that by contacting me with the intent of commissioning me, you agree with these conditions and accept it as our contract.
